Lori Anderson, 51, of Afton died Nov. 7, 2013, from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident near Afton.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the East Union High School commons in Afton. The Rev. Ken Wallace will officiate. Des Moines services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at Westover Baptist Church in Des Moines. Burial will be private at a later date. Open visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with family present 4 to 8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, 612 N. Dodge St., Afton. Memorials may be directed to the family. Lori Ann (Peddycoart) Anderson, daughter of Sheryll Ann (O’Brien) and Michael Alan Peddycoart, was born Jan. 3, 1962, in Sacramento, Calif.

Lori was educated at Hoover and Valley high schools in the Des Moines area. She went on to study at DMACC in Des Moines.

On May 20, 1997, Lori married Eric Lee Anderson in West Des Moines. They settled first in the West Des Moines area.

Lori worked as a waitress at several restaurants, including Perkins in Urbandale.

They moved to Afton in 2005.

Lori was a homemaker.

Lori was a member of Westover Baptist Church in Des Moines.

Lori is survived by her husband Eric Anderson of Afton; sons, Jason Peddycoart of Des Moines and Devon Anderson of Afton; daughter Kylie Peddycoart of Afton, daughter Sierra’s boyfriend Cody Duncan of Afton, nephew Nathan Heglin (considered a son); stepsons, Nathaniel Werner of Ankeny and Rylan and Nikolas Anderson, both of Des Moines; granddaughter Jessica Peddycoart of Afton, sister Lisa Peddycoart; parents-in-law, Lee and Sue Anderson of Bayard; grandparents, Mary Jane O’Brien of West Des Moines and Bob and Carol Miller of New Sharon (formerly of Afton); and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lynn Brooks and daughter (in this car accident) Sierra Peddycoart.
