Taylor Sue Schaffer, 21, of Kent was charged 1:10 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of North Maple Street with disorderly conduct.

According to a Creston Police report, Schaffer caused distress to the residents of the 100 block of North Maple by yelling and acting in a fighting-like manner.

Schaffer was released on a citation to appear.

Lee McTaggart, 38, of Kellerton was charged 10:10 p.m. Saturday at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on two warrants for second-degree theft.

According to a Creston Police report, McTaggart filed a credit application on or about June 13, 2012, at Iowa State Savings Bank, 401 W. Adams St. McTaggart represented he owned unsecured property which would be pledged as additional collateral for the a loan, which was designated to purchase a vehicle and trailer. The loan was approved June 19, 2012. When McTaggart defaulted on the loan, bank officials attempted to locate the identified collateral, which was not in McTaggart’s possession. As of Sept. 4, 2013, the whereabouts of the collateral was unknown. The value of the loan was $4,500.

McTaggart was being held on $5,000 bond.

Christopher Silas Noyes, 41, of Koxville was charged 11:15 p.m. Friday at the intersection of West Mills and Park streets with public intoxication.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were dispatched to the intersection of West Mills and Park streets in reference to a male subject who had passed out. Upon arrival, officers observed the subject lying on the corner of the intersection, and identified him as Noyes. Noyes had bloodshot, watery eyes and an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person. Noyes had to be helped up to stand, and was transported to the Law Enforcement Center. He gave a sample of his breath on a preliminary breath test and showed a blood alcohol content of .141.

Noyes was released on $300 bond.
