Creston

This year the Creston School will be once again be holding Presents For People We Care About. This is a program in the in the elementary and middle school that provides an opportunity for all children to shop for special people in their lives. There is no cost to the students, and it is fully run on donations from caring individuals in the community and beyond.

We are asking for donations of new or gently-used items that will be displayed for the children’s shopping experience. In the elementary, the students shop by class, and the middle school students come during their study halls. Items needed include knick-knacks, crafts, jewelry, items for men, toys, books, etc. We are not picky. Over the years, we have gotten in some unusual things, and there is always a child who is sure that is the perfect gift for their loved one. Please make sure the donated items are clean and in good shape.

We are also looking for tape, wrapping paper, gift bags and gift tags. We never turn down a volunteer, as well. So if you like a lot of noise and excitement, we are the place for you.

Items can be dropped off at the Creston Elementary/Middle School or the Early Childhood Center. If you are unable to deliver, please call, and we will pick it up. The project runs Dec. 16 through 19. It would be great if you could have donated items to the school by Friday, Dec. 13. If you have any questions, please contact Jane Shantz, Student Success coordinator, at 782-1155.
