Anna Rose Goodman, 82, of Diagonal was cited for failure to obey a stop or yield sign after an accident 12:07 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of North Lincoln and West Prairie streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Goodman, driving a 1999 Buick east on West Prairie, failed to obey a stop or yield sign and drove into the path of a 2008 Ford driven south on North Lincoln by Catelin Joy Haight, 17, of Ellston. Goodman stated her car slid into the intersection. Officers observed the pavement, which did not have snow or ice where the intersection meets, but appeared wet and possibly had sand on the pavement.

Damage estimates are $3,000 to Haight’s vehicle and $500 to Goodman’s vehicle.
