Highland Highlights

The members of Highland Highlights 4-H Club met Dec. 1 at Walmart. The group shopped for Christmas gifts for two families adopted by the club. After shopping, members went to the Highland schoolhouse to wrap the gifts and have the regular monthly meeting.

New business discussed was all members must be enrolled online before Sunday, and the yearly dues of $30 per member is due to Emily Robinson by that date.

Beef weigh-in was Saturday in Afton.

Also, the club finalized plans to go Christmas caroling Dec. 20 after school. Everyone is to meet in Mrs. Bailey’s classroom at the high school at 3:30 p.m. If enough interest, members will go to The Pizza Ranch for dinner after caroling.

Members are encouraged to join the Highland Highlights group Facebook page for updates and club information.

The next meeting will be 2 p.m. Jan. 12. Host families are Robinsons, Purdums, Starlins and Powers. Presentations will be done by Tessa Powers, Emily Robinson, Micha Stevens, Andy Weis and Laura Weis.
