Bedford 62, Southwest Valley 40

BEDFORD — Bedford held a 25-6 lead over Southwest Valley at the end of the first quarter and sailed to a 62-40 win over the Timberwolves here on Tuesday.

Lexi Bronner led the Timberwolves with 10 points and nine rebounds in the loss. Marissa Drake added eight points and a team-high 11 rebounds. Mikayla Dolch chipped in seven points with seven boards. Sydney Maynes finished with five points and nine rebounds. Kelsie Kinman added four points and five rebounds.

Mount Ayr 67,

East Union 38

AFTON — Mount Ayr had five players score in double figures as the Raiderettes rolled to a 67-38 win over East Union here on Tuesday.

Kelcie Shields scored 12 points, as Tess Shields and Allie Shields each netted 11 points and Megan Warin and Ashton Johnson scored 10 apiece. Paige Daughton nearly made it six in double figures with nine points.

Kelcie Shields also grabbed eight rebounds for Mount Ayr, while Daughton added seven. Allie Shields and Tess Shields each pulled down five boards. Brook Rychnovsky recorded five steals with two assists, while Johnson dished out five assists.

Emily Eckels, Kelsey Hoff and Stacia Bryson each scored eight points to lead East Union in the loss. Chelsea Hoyt added five points, while Brittany Malone netted four. Kacie Ripperger scored three.
