Accident

Ely Laramie Will, 20, 409 N. Pine St., was cited for failure to obey a stop sign, yield the right of way and driving while license was denied, suspended, cancelled or revoked after an accident 11:38 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of North Spruce and West Howard streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Will, driving a 2001 Pontiac south on North Spruce, did not stop at a stop sign and struck a 2007 Jeep driven east on West Howard by Mary Jo Skarda, 55, 1670 210th St., causing the vehicle to spin around. Will appeared to be under the influence of drugs and was taken to the Union County Law Enforcement Center for testing.

Damage estimates are $3,000 to Skarda’s vehicle and $2,000 to Will’s vehicle.
