Quinton Kimball, 23, 504 N. Elm St., was charged with possession of marijuana 5 a.m.Thursday in the 300 block of South Division Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Kimball was involved in a motor vehicle accident Wednesday. A K-9 sniff of the vehicle was conducted and a positive response from the K-9 indicated the odor of a controlled substance coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and a small container was located in the console near the driver’s seat. The container contained marijuana.

Kimball was released on $1,000 bond.

Patrick Iiams, 19, 601 S. Walnut St., was charged with interference with official acts 3:56 p.m. Sunday at 301 S. Pine St.

According to a Creston Police report, officers spoke with Iiams 3:28 p.m. Sunday on South Pine in reference to an earlier traffic violation. Iiams was issued a citation and advised to refrain from driving an involved vehicle until proof of insurance was available. At 3:56 p.m. on the same day, officers observed Iiams driving the vehicle in the 300 block of South Pine. Officers stopped Iiams with the intention of issuing a citation. At this time, Iiams became uncooperative and attempted to walk away. He was then restrained and transported to Union County Law Enforcement Center.

Iiams was released on $300 bond.

Robert Willey, 27, 505 W. Levy St., was charged with fifth-degree theft 6:20 p.m. Sunday at Wal-Mart, 806 Laurel St.

According to a Creston Police report, Willey was observed taking merchandise consisting of food items, computer software, powder drink mix and a movie from Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart staff observed Willey take the items and leave the store without paying for the items. The merchandise totaled $108.87.

Willey was released on promise to appear.

Rhonda Hood, 1702 W. Spencer St., reported her cell phone was lost or taken between Thursday and Saturday. She adviced the last place place she remembered having it was Wal-Mart, 806 Laurel St.

Loss estimate is $100.
