Heather Nicole Spencer-Robinson, 27, of Lenox was charged with fourth-degree theft 3:56 p.m. Saturday at Wal-Mart, 806 Laurel St.

According to a Creston Police report, a Wal-Mart employee observed a female setting items on her purse and exchanging bar code stickers. The employee approached the female after she left the last point of sale and began exiting the store. The employee identified the female as Spencer-Robinson. Spencer-Robinson cooperated with Wal-Mart administration and revealed items in her possession, as well as several additional items that were contained in her silver minivan located in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Wal-Mart administration recovered, identified and provided receipts for all of the items. The items came to a value of $389.50. Spencer-Robinson was escorted to her van to return two plastic totes she legally paid for. The van was secured and the keys were returned to Spencer-Robinson before she was transported to Union County Law Enforcement Center.

Spencer was released on $1,000 bond.

Wesley Gene Keeler Jr., 26, 207 N. Birch St., was charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and on a Polk County warrant for operating while intoxicated 2:01 p.m. Monday at Wal-Mart, 806 Laurel St.

According to a Creston Police report, a male suspect was detained by Wal-Mart Loss Prevention in regards to a shoplifting complaint. After discovering the items that were taken, the loss prevention associate asked the officer to search the male suspect for any other missing items. The suspect was searched and a marijuana pipe with marijuana residue was found in the pocket of his coat.

Keeler was being held in Union County Jail on $1,000 bond.
