Heidi Suzanne Reimer, 66, of Afton was cited for failure to obey or yield at a yield sign after an accident 3:39 p.m. Dec. 27 at the intersection of South Walnut and East Page streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Reimer, driving a 2002 Buick west on East Page, slowed for a yield sign, continued into the intersection and into the path of a 2001 Ford driven north on South Walnut by Alison Dawn Iiams, 21, 601 S. Walnut St. The front end of Iiams’ vehicle made contact with the left quarter panel of Reimer’s vehicle. Iiams did not have traffic signals. Reimer said she saw the sign but was blinded by the sun and did not see Iiams’ vehicle.

Damage estimates are $3,600 to Reimer’s vehicle and $2,000 to Iiams’ vehicle.
