Vicki Ludwig Creston

Vicki Ludwig, 59, of Creston died Dec. 27, 2013, at Creston Nursing and Rehab Center.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at Pearson Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Montgomery St. The Rev. Jim Morris will officiate. Inurnment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Afton at a later date. There will be no public viewing. Visitation with family present will be 2 p.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home. Vicki Lynne Ludwig, daughter of Carolyn Mae (Nissen) and Albert Lee Dady, was born June 4, 1954, in Creston.

Vicki graduated from Afton High School in 1973. She received her CNA/CMA certification from Southwestern Community College.

Vicki worked as a CNA and CMA for 32 years. She worked at Crest Haven Care Center and two years as direct care staff at S.I.R.F.

Vicki volunteered for CARE in Afton for several years. Vicki was an active member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, where she served on the board, including as president.

Vicki is survived by her daughter Misty (husband Chris) Claybaker of Creston; grandchildren, Johnathen, Karalynn and Andrew Claybaker; brother Randy Dady (special friend Kim Coe) of Greenfield; adopted daughter Christy Giles of Thayer; cousins, Alan, Andy, Velma and Will Blazek, all of Fontanelle; and niece Michelle Laird of Creston.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Ayden James Claybaker; and cousins, William and Alice Blazek.
