No citations were issued after an accident 10:24 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of New York Avenue and West Fremont Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Dena Rose Jackson, 63, 500 S. Walnut St., driving a 2008 Buick west on West Fremont, stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of New York and West Fremont and proceeded into the intersection, colliding with a 2000 Buick driven north on New York by Luria Lavaun Staats, 20, of Ellston. Jackson failed to see Staats, who did not have traffic controls on New York, and the front end of Jackson’s vehicle collided with the right side of Staats’ vehicle. Jackson was issued a written warning for failure to yield at a stop sign.

Damage estimates are $4,000 to Jackson’s vehicle and $5,000 to Staats’ vehicle.
