COUNCIL BLUFFS — The Creston freshmen boys fell to 1-4 for the season with a 64-49 loss to Lewis Central here on Tuesday.
“We played our best game so far,” freshman coach Anthony Donahoo said. “Our problem was not execution, but matching up with their height. They had height across the board and we just couldn’t deny from the post. Offensively, we were able to score, which will be a bright spot going forward. Our kids are starting to buy in and see that what we are doing is working.”
Cody Crawford led the way for the Panthers, dropping in 23 points. Seth Thompson added six points, while Gavin Woods and Deavon Reese each scored four points.
Patrick Normandeau scored three points, while Brenden McDowell and Trevontay Wright each added two points. Ian Burns scored one point.
