MARYVILLE, Mo. — The Office of the Registrar at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Mo., has released the names of students who completed requirements for degrees at the conclusion of the 2014 fall trimester. 

Graduates from the Creston News Advertiser area include:

Bedford – Tyler Jared Folkerts, Bachelor of Science (BS), biology: ecology emphasis; Zuleika Marie McClarnon, BS, horticulture.

Creston – Colton Eugene Dunphy, BS, agricultural science; Lucas Cole Waltz, BS, business management.

Diagonal – Chad Michael Bailey, BS, agricultural business; Levi James Cameron, Bachelor of Arts (BA), political science.

Greenfield – Kelsie Ruth Cass, Bachelor of Science in Education (BS Ed.), elementary education; Gina Elizabeth Wallace, BS, child and family studies; Staci Anne Woodside, BS, business management.

Lenox – Tyler Keith Peterson, BS Ed., social science.

Mount Ayr – Daniel Edward Showalter, BS Ed., social science, magna cum laude.

Prescott – Keaton David Lundquist, BS, agricultural business.

Iowa State University

AMES — At Iowa State University’s winter commencement ceremonies, 1,821 students received degrees. Iowa State awarded 1,515 undergraduate degrees, 198 master’s degrees and 108 doctor of philosophy degrees.

Iowa Lakes

Community College 

ESTHERVILLE — Valerie Newhouse, President of Iowa Lakes Community College, has released the fall honors list of full-time students who have demonstrated academic excellence by earning at least a grade-point average of 3.25 (based on a 4.00) or higher. 

Fall semester students who have achieved a 3.25 grade point average or better are recognized by inclusion on the dean’s list. Geoff Post of Creston was named to this list.

Upper Iowa University

FAYETTE — Upper Iowa University names its 2013 fall dean’s list. To be honored, the undergraduate must have earned a minimum 3.50 GPA for the semester and be enrolled as a full-time student.

Aubreeanna Dolan and Jeanne Sprague, both of Creston, were named to the list.
