Darold Bredberg, 41, of Lenox was charged with driving while barred, driving while suspended, non-payment of 11 Iowa fines, failure to have insurance and failure to obey a stop sign after an accident 8:44 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Brooks and Nebraska streets in Lenox.

According to a Lenox Police report, Bredberg, driving a 2000 Chrysler east on Nebraska, failed to yield a stop sign and pulled out into the path of a 2004 GMC driven south on Brooks by Sean Kingery, 42, of Lenox, which collided with Bredberg’s vehicle.

Bredberg and Kingery received minor injuries and were treated at the scene by Lenox Ambulance. Neither were transported to the hospital.

Damage estimates are $6,000 to Kingery’s vehicle, and Bredberg’s vehicle was considered a total loss.

Bredberg was charged after a records check, and transported to Taylor County Jail for processing.
