Winners named in Elks Hoop Shoot

Winners were named in three age groups for both boys and girls in the area Elks Hoop Shoot competition Jan. 18 at Southwestern Community College.

Winners in each category advanced to district competition Jan. 25 at SWCC. District results were not available at press time. Bryce Berlau of Greenfield advanced from that district shoot in boys 8-9 division.

Boys 8-9 — 1. Bryce Berlau, Greenfield, 19-25; 2. McCoy Haines, St. Malachy, 16-25; 3. Cael Turner, Creston, 10-25; 4. Mathew Qualseth, Creston, 8-25; 5. Tyler Loudon, Creston, 8-25.

Girls 8-9 — 1. Payton Lambert, Mount Ayr, 15-25; 2. Jynessa Cox, Lenox, 14-25; 3. Whitney Lamb, Greenfield, 13-25; 4. Aliah Calvin, Creston, 12-25; 5. Jacy Kralik, Creston, 9-25.

Boys 10-11 — 1. Payton Weehler, Mount Ayr, 20-25; 2. Gavin Gilliam, Creston, 15-25; 3. Derek Bloodgood, Creston, 14-25; 4. Cael Kralik, Creston, 12-25; 5. Ashton Wills, Creston, 12-25.

Girls 10-11 — 1. Samantha Dunphy, St. Malachy, 15-25; 2. Reagan Weinheimer, Greenfield, 13-25; 3. Madi Stewart, Mount Ayr, 12-25; 4. Alyssa Davis, Greenfield, 12-25; 5. Braelyn Baker, Creston, 9-25.

Boys 12-13 — 1. Kylan Smallwood, Creston, 20-25 (4-5); 2. Dale Boyer, Creston, 20-25 (2-5); 3. Spencer Lamb, Greenfield, 17-25; 4. Luke Latham, Creston, 17-25.

Girls 12-13 — 1. Brielle Baker, Creston, 19-25; 2. Haylee Shields, Creston, 17-25; 3. Sydney Hartsock, St. Malachy, 16-25; 4. Taylor Buxton, St. Malachy, 14-25; 5. Belinda Sovern, Mount Ayr, 13-25.
