From Kylene and Cody Simpson
As most of you already know, Cody had a pancreas transplant at Mayo Clinic on Jan. 7, 2014, and we had to stay at Rochester, Minn., for 30 days, which meant a lot of road trips back and forth with four young boys.
We wanted to let the community know we appreciate all the thoughts, prayers, cards and gifts. Thank you so much to our family and friends who helped with our sons at this difficult time.
Also, thanks to the Creston Elementary and ECC teachers for cooking us food. That’s such a great idea. It was so helpful and thoughtful. A special thank you to Ms. Schutt and the junior kindergarten class for the candy plant and Casey’s gas cards.
We have a long road to go, and we don’t know what we would have done without your support.
One of the biggest lessons I have learned from this whole experience is just remember when you have it bad, there is someone else out there that is far worse than you think you are. We have met several people at Mayo Clinic that are in way worse situations than we are and it makes us grateful.
