Bruce Luverne Anderson, 61, of Afton was charged with second-offense operating while intoxicated and trespass 3:30 a.m. Sunday at Union County Law Enforcement Center.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were dispatched to 313 N. Oak St. for a report of a man who entered the residence without permission and would not leave after being told to do so. When officers arrived, Anderson was located in a vehicle in the driveway of the residence. The complaintant said Anderson entered the residence without permission, was told to leave and after Anderson walked out the back door, he turned and beat on the back door, resulting in a broken acrylic glass window.

Officers noticed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person while they were talking to him. Anderson had bloodshot and watery eyes, slurred speech and trouble with his balance.
