Kevin Lee Rugaard, 47, 1104 W. Adams St., was cited for an unsafe turn, and Carolina Hernandez, 30, of Lenox was cited for failure to have a valid driver’s license after an accident 10:45 a.m. Saturday on Highway 34.

According to a Union County Sheriff report, Rugaard, driving a 2011 Dodge west on 34, made a U-turn and the front of his vehicle hit the passenger side of a 2003 Buick driven west on 34 by Hernandez.

Damage estimates are $4,500 to Rugaard’s vehicle and $4,500 to Hernandez’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 2:36 p.m. Tuesday on New York Avenue.

According to a Creston Police report, Kathleen Saba Jordann, 19, 426 New York Ave., driving a 2007 Chevrolet north on New York, slowed down to turn into the driveway of her residence when a white truck came speeding up behind her vehicle. Jordann turned into the driveway to get out of the way of the truck but was unable to stop before striking two parked vehicles, a 1997 Buick owned by Gary Clark, 425 New York Ave., Apt. 4, and a 1997 Honda owned by Martin Kahi, 425 New York Ave., Apt. 6.

Damage estimates are $1,000 to Jordann’s vehicle, $1,500 to the Buick and $300 to the Honda.

No citations were issued after an accident 5:33 p.m. Tuesday on South Park Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Hannah Marie West, 25, of Greenfield, driving a 2008 Buick, was stopped at a stop sign at the underpass on South Park, backed up to give another vehicle southbound beneath the underpass more room and struck a 2001 Ford stopped behind her, driven by Dylan Scott Bishop, 19, 309 N. Maple St., Apt. 12. West did not know Bishop’s vehicle was behind her when she backed up.

Damage estimates are $300 to West’s vehicle and $1,200 to Bishop’s vehicle.
