Lenox Police

Joseph Cosenza-Weaver, 21, of Lenox was charged with operating while intoxicated, eluding, interference with official acts and disorderly conduct 12:20 a.m. Sunday in Lenox.

According to a Lenox Police report, officers observed a car being driven through a ditch and yards near Lenox High School. When officers attempted to tstop the car, the driver, identified as Cosenza-Weaver, refused and continued into an alley north of the 200 block of Iowa Street. He exited the vehicle and continued to ignore the officers. After a scuffle, Cosenza-Weaver was charged.

Cosenza-Weaver was transported to Adams County Jail.

Lanny Smith, 50, of Gravity was charged with driving under suspension and expired license plates 4:35 p.m. Tuesday in Lenox.

According to a Lenox Police report, officers observed a 1990 Chevrolet pickup at the intersection of Brooks and Van Buren streets with expired license plates. Officers stopped the vehicle and the driver was identified as Smith. A routine check of Smith’s license showed it was suspended.

Smith was being held on no bond.
