John Williamson, 55, of Creston died March 18, 2014, at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital in Corning.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Pearson Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Montgomery St. Rick Titus will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date. There will be no public viewing. Visitation with family present will be 10 to 11 a.m. service time Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.pearsonfuneralhomes.com.

John Phillip Williamson, son of Virginia Jean (Welcher) and John Charles Williamson, was born Aug. 16, 1958, in Greenfield.

John has lived in Creston most of his life.

In 1988, John married Kim Charles, and they later divorced.

John worked as a laborer, doing roofing and siding, and fixed computers.

John is survived by his daughter Tifani Williamson of Edwardsville, Kan.; granddaughter Amelia Ashlock of Edwardsville, Kan.; mother, Virginia Williamson of Creston; sisters, Sharon (Clarence) Keller and Dianne Trenkle, all of Creston, Sandee Casteel of New Market, Joyce Williamson of Minnesota, Gloria Williamson of Bridgewater, Peggy (Joe) Wilson of Corning and Penny Williamson of Des Moines;             brothers, Doug (Sharon) Williamson and Don (Teresa) Williamson, all of Creston; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

John was preceded in death by his father in March 1983; brother Rod; nieces, Chelle Casteel and Margaret Williamson; nephews, Kooper Lohoff and Seth Williamson; grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
