Ian Morrison, 18, of Omaha, Neb., was charged 10:35 p.m. Thursday with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver at the Union County Law Enforcement Center.

According to a Creston Police report, Morrison was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation. During the stop, the officer smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A grinder used for grinding marijuana was in plain view inside the back seat of the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, a bag containing a green, leafy substance consistent with marijuana and a scale was found. Both parties had access to the bag.

Morrison was being held in Union County Jail on $5,000 bond.

Meagan Wilker, 16, 603 N. Cedar St., was referred to juvenile authorities for first-offense operating while intoxicated, possession with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and illegal possession of prescription drugs or device.

Wilker was released to juvenile authorities.

Jess Gourd, 50, of Lenox, was charged 1:52 a.m. with second-offense public intoxication.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were dispatched to Supertel motel to investigate a report of an intoxicated male subject, who was acting in a threatening manner. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the clerk, who advised the individual left the area and was walking toward Walmart and provided a description of the male subject. Officers went to Walmart, where they spoke with Gourd, who was sitting inside the lobby. Gourd did admit he was intoxicated. At the Union County Law Enforcement Center, Gourd refused to submit a breath test. A criminal record check indicated Gourd was convicted of a prior intoxication charge.

Gourd was being held in Union County Jail on $1,000 bond.
