Lenox Police

Walter Malacara, 24, of Lenox was charged with driving while revoked, and Abel Vasquez, 18, of Lenox was charged on a Harris County, Texas, warrant for possession of drugs 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of South Walnut Street.

According to a Lenox Police report, a black Chevrolet Blazer was stopped on South Walnut for traffic violations. The driver was identified as Malacara. A routine check of Malacara’s driver’s license showed it to be suspended for test failure of operating while intoxicated. A passenger in the vehicle, Vasquez, was then found wanted on a Texas warrant. Texas officials confirmed they would extradite Vasquez. Malacara and Vasquez were transported to Taylor County Jail.

Malacara was released on $1,000 bond. Vasquez was being held for Harris County, Texas.
