People needed for volunteerism study
From Jesse Bolinger
Volunteerism is a vital part of nonprofit organizations in the community. The service of these individuals aids the organization in continuing the mission and brings a number of benefits to the volunteer. As a doctoral learner, I have learned a great deal about the important function of volunteers.
At this time, I am conducting my dissertation study entitled “Work, educational background and mental health: impacts on senior volunteerism: a qualitative study.” In order to complete the study, I need your assistance.
At this time, I am looking for three to five individuals who are 65 years of age or older, retired, living in this community and who are currently volunteering, or have volunteered in the past year. These individuals will take part in a one to one-half hour phone interview about their experiences. The information gathered during these interviews, in combination with prior research will be utilized to draw conclusions about volunteerism in rural communities.
If you have questions, or wish to express interest in taking part in the study, please contact Jesse Bolinger at 641-455-2896 or visit www.jessebolinger.com no later than April 20.
