Lois Pellin Buffalo

Lois M. Pellin, 88, of Buffalo died March 31, 2014, at Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville. The Rev. Brad Dittmer will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to Humane Society and Alzheimer’s Association and may be given to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, IA 52544.  Online condolences may be left at www.langefh.com.

Lois M. Pellin, daughter of Clara (Rider) and Walter Ritter, was born March 8, 1926, in Afton.

Lois was raised in the Afton area and attended local schools.

On Aug. 20, 1950, Lois married James Pellin in Afton.  

Lois was a homemaker.

Lois is survived by her children, Mary McCants of Buffalo, Clara (Roger) Prachar of Davenport, Tim Pellin of Buffalo and Donald Pellin of Bettendorf; grandchildren, James McCants of Buffalo, Raymond McCants of Davenport, Lorena McCants of Rock Island, Ill., and Deanna (Jeremy) Dahlstrom of Davenport; and a special niece Mary Pellin, who helped with her care.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband; and brothers, Wayne, Howard, Dale, Donald, Robert, Richard and Glen Ritter.
