Tanner James Lamaak, 18, of Afton was charged with possession of marijuana 7:02 p.m. Friday on West Taylor Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Lamaak was stopped for traffic violations. During the stop, officers smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and Lamaak appeared to be overly nervous. Officers asked Lamaak to follow them to the patrol car and he agreed. As he exited the vehicle, Lamaak dropped all his information and was visibly shaking to the point he had a hard time picking up the items. When Lamaak was seated in the patrol car, officers smelled the odor of marijuana and grape cigars. Officers asked Lamaak if he had anything illegal in his vehicle, and he stated he did not and gave consent to search. As officers went to the vehicle, they approached the passenger side and smelled a very strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The two passengers appeared very nervous. The rear seat passenger was asked to exit the vehicle and exhibited a very strong odor of marijuana and appeared to be shaking. When asked if he had anything in his pockets he stated he did and retrieved three bags of a green leafy substance from his person. During the investigation, it was determined all three persons in the vehicle were actively smoking marijuana. Lamaak consented to a urine test and had a positive test result for marijuana.

Casey Koenen, 16, 219 N. Maple St., was referred to juvenile authorities from Union County Law Enforcement Center on charges of possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver 8:20 p.m. Friday.

Koenen was released into his parents’ custody.

Joshua Zancanelli, 34, homeless, was charged on a Union County warrant for probation violation and possession of marijuana 2:20 a.m. Saturday at Montgomery Street Pub, 207 E. Montgomery St.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were dispatched to Montgomery Street Pub for a fight. Upon arrival, officers were told there was a subject who had tried to start a fight, but had left the scene. The subject was located behind the building. A check of the subject’s name came back as Zancanelli, and that he had a warrant for his arrest. A search of Zancanelli was conducted and a container that had a green leafy substance was found in his pocket.

Zancanelli was being held at Ringgold County Jail on $11,000 bond and an additional 30-day sentence for contempt of court.

Rachel Tucker, 24, 1303 W. Mills St., was charged on a Union County warrant for probation violation on an original charge of third-degree criminal mischief 11:15 a.m. Saturday.

Tucker was being held in Ringgold County Jail on $2,500 bond.

Nickolas Dale Stone, 22, 513 W. Mills St., was charged with aggravated assault 8:25 p.m. Saturday at Union County Law Enforcement Center.

According to a Creston Police report, Stone displayed a spring-assist knife by flicking the blade open in a threatening manner while skating on his skateboard next to three male minors. Stone yelled at the boys, stating, “Take a picture, it lasts longer.” The boys stated they were in fear for their safety, the knife was displayed in a threatening manner and Stone was noticeably angry when the knife was displayed. An hour before the incident, officers spoke with Stone about skateboarding in the business area and witnessed him yelling at a car passing by because he felt the occupants had stared at him because he was wearing a mask. Stone was noticeably agitated and behaved in a hostile manner.

Stone was released on $2,000 bond.

Nicki Eileen Foulkes, 24, of Bedford was charged with fifth-degree theft 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Walmart, 806 Laurel St.

According to a Creston Police report, Foulkes took merchandise and concealed it in her purse while at Walmart. She then attempted to leave the store without paying for the items, and was witnessed by a Walmart employee. The items were valued at $33.04.

Foulkes was cited and released on promise to appear.

Nelle Utterback, 300 Harsh St., reported damage to her garage door and the deadbolt on the door between 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday.

Damage estimate is $250.
