UNDERWOOD — The Valley girls soccer team lost 3-2 in overtime here on Tuesday, on a goal by Underwood’s Booke Cooper with 1:15 left in the first overtime period.

“Underwood is a very well-coached team and they beat us to the ball,” Valley head coach Michael Krawczyk said. “They got us down quick, then our defense settled in and allowed for us to fight back in the second half to tie the game after losing one of our forwards to a dislocated elbow. We are proud of the girls on never giving up and fighting hard till the end.”

The loss drops Valley to 4-2 for the season.

Underwood took a 2-0 lead in the first half on a pair of Lea Croue goals, but Valley scored twice in the final 10:30 of the match on goals by Logan Jensen and Alicia Urquhart to send the game into overtime.
