Danny Alan Fry Jr., 26, 304 N. Cherry St., was cited for failure to maintain control after an accident 4:01 p.m. Saturday on North Cherry Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Fry, driving a 1999 Dodge north in the alley between the 300 blocks of North Cherry and North Vine streets, lost control and struck a legally parked 2006 Saturn and legally parked 2002 Ford. The Saturn was side swiped and the Ford was rear ended.

Damage estimates are $1,000 to Fry’s vehicle, $2,000 to the Saturn and $2,000 to the Ford.

No citations were issued after an accident 3:41 p.m. Monday at Early Childhood Center, 901 N. Elm St.

According to a Creston Police report, Brandy Jo Wheatley, 29, of Adair, driving a 2012 Jeep, was parked facing west on the west side of the parking lot, Marjorie Marilyn Scott, 72, of Orient, driving a 2012 Chevrolet, was parked facing east on the east side of the parking lot, both vehicles backed up at the same time and Scott struck the rear passenger side of Wheatley’s vehicle. Wheatley’s vehicle had a back-up alarm that went off because the two vehicles were getting close and Wheatley stopped in the middle of the parking lot, while Scott continued to back up because she didn’t see Wheatley’s vehicle as she was watching another car to make sure it didn’t back up. Wheatley did not have time to pull forward, and Scott did not see Wheatley’s vehicle until she struck the vehicle.

Damage estimates are $2,000 to Wheatley’s vehicle and $2,000 to Scott’s vehicle.
