Valley wins

GREENFIELD — The Nodaway Valley/West Central Valley/Adair-Casey girls did all of their scoring in the first half in an 8-1 victory over Knoxville Thursday.

Hailey Gross scored four goals for Valley (5-2) and Maddie Foster scored a pair of goals.

“This was a game where the girsl worked really well together in the first half,” said Valley coach Michael Krawczyk. “They passed well and were first to the ball. The second half we started kicking the ball and got off our game plan. It was a good win to stop our two-game losing streak.”

It was youth soccer night in Greenfield with youth teams introduced before the varsity game. Stuart youth soccer night will be April 29.
