Lenox Police

James Cody Simmons, 20, of Indianola was charged with interference of official acts and on a Department of Corrections warrant for violation of probation approximately 9:20 p.m. Monday.

According to a Lenox Police report, officers responded to an ambulance call at noon. It was later discovered one of the individuals at the scene, identified as Simmons, was wanted on a Department of Corrections warrant. Officers were unable to locate Simmons. At 9:20 p.m., officers received a call of a suspicious male walking on the highway one and a-half miles south of Lenox who matched the description of Simmons. When officers responded to the area, Simmons ran into a field. After a foot pursuit, Simmons was transported to Taylor County Jail.

Simmons was being held on no bond.

Christopher D. Draman, 42, of Lenox was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief 5 p.m. Tuesday.

According to a Lenox Police report, officers were notified of a disturbance at the restaurant The Office 3:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers observed two broken windows at the business. Witnesses identified Draman as having thrown a concrete block through one of the windows and a brick through the other after becoming involved in a dispute with the owner of the business. Draman was transported to Taylor County Jail.

Draman was being held on $10,000 bond.
