Accident

No citations were issued after an accident 12:31 p.m., Thursday in the parking lot of Walmart, 806 Laurel St.

According to a Creston Police report, Carol Sue Perrin, 67, of Corning, driving a 2001 Chrysler south in the parking lot, turned left to park in a handicapped space and said her foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas pedal, causing the vehicle to accelerate and strike a handicap parking sign, owned by Walmart.

Damage estimate is $3,000 to Perrin’s vehicle. No damage was done to the sign.
