Camryn Somers shot a 47 as medalist as the Creston/O-M girls defeated Chariton, 209-248, in golf competition Friday at Crestmoor Golf Club.

Hannah Hagle shot a 53 as runner-up medalist.

“Camryn Somers shot her career best round and led our girls team for the first time this season, earning her first ever medalist honors,” Creston assistant coach Kristopher “Kritter” Hayes said. “Camryn has been gradually improving each time out. She has been making little adjustments here and there and it all came together Friday. It was exciting to see her play so well. Hannah Hagle earned her third consecutive runner-up honors.”

The Panther girls are in action at home again today against Red Oak.
