William DeWayne Crispin, 44, of Lorimor was charged on a second charge of second-degree criminal mischief 11:15 a.m. Friday at Union County Jail.
According to a Union County Sheriff report, officers were dispatched to a residence at 408 S. Clayton Road in Afton approximately 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies observed substantial damage to a 1998 Ford F150 pickup truck. The occupants identified the individual responsible for the damage as Crispin. Crispin fled the area before officers arrived. The occupants provided a description of the vehicle driven by Crispin.
While Crispin was at 408 S. Clayton Road, he pulled into the driveway and took a battery charger and jack belonging to William Denton. The items are owned by the residents of 408 S. Clayton Road, and were borrowed by Crispin. Crispin then broke three windows in the Ford.
Officers were then dispatched to a residence at 508 Minnesota Ave. in Lorimor 12:50 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies observed substantial damage to a white Pontiac Grand Prix and white Chevrolet pickup truck. Deputies also observed windows in the residence were broken, the entry door was damaged and the garage door was damaged.
Occupants of the residence identified the individual responsible for the damage as Crispin. Crispin fled the area before officers arrived. Occupants provided a description of the vehicle driven by Crispin.
Officers located the vehicle at Crispin’s residence. Deputies observed items, owned by Denton, inside the vehicle. Denton advised that the items had been loaned to Crispin, and that Crispin damaged Denton’s vehicle when the items were returned.
Crispin has previous convictions in Union County and Florida.
Damage estimate is $3,200 to the Pontiac, and in excess of $1,000 to the Ford.
Crispin was being held on $5,000 bond.

An employee of GRM Networks of Leon reported between Sunday night and Monday morning, a fiber optic pedestal near Fifth Street in Lorimor had been damaged by possibly being driven over.
Damage estimate is $2,000.
