Timberwolf Invite

BEDFORD — With Southwest Valley’s track still under repair, the Timberwolves hosted the Timberwolf Invite here on Thursday.

The host Timberwolves finished third out of 14 teams with 94 points, as Interstate 35 won the meet with 104 points. Griswold was second with 97 points.

“We scored the majority of our points in the field events and the hurdle events,” Southwest Valley head coach Allen Naugle said. “Keegan Longabaugh did a great job winning the discus and placing second in the shot. Scott Vanderhoof won the high jump and Colten Drake placed second. It’s always great starting a meet with 36 points just from field events.”

Connor Haggerty finished sixth in the 3,200 meters, placing for the first time in that event. The Timberwolves’ shuttle hurdle relay team took second, while Drake finished second in the 110 high hurdles and Blake Haidsiak placed fourth. Trevor Sorensen finished second in the 400 hurdles.
