Creston/O-M tennis teams both earned 9-0 sweeps in nonconference duals against Southwest Valley Friday.
The Panther boys improved to 2-5.
“Today was a great day for a tennis meet,” Panther coach Kevin Cooper said. “It was nice to not have to worry about the weather and be able to have the kids just go out and play. Getting the win 9-0 is great for our team. Southwest Valley has improved a lot since last year, so we had some nice matches.”
The Panther girls lifted their record to 6-2 in a dominant performance, allowing only one point in six singles matches and one more in a doubles match.
“Due to conflicts again, we didn’t have our normal lineup, but that did not affect our play,’ said Creston/O-M assistant coach Amanda Plymale. “We still came out strong tonight and got another 9-0 win. Great night for the team.”
The boys Hawkeye 10 Conference tournament, originally scheduled for today in Carroll, was postponed until Tuesday because of expected inclement weather. The Panther girls are at Boone Tuesday.
