Russel Lundy

Russel “Russ” Lundy, 89, of Fulda, Minn., died May 9, 2014, at the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda, Minn.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at the chapel of Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda, Minn. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Murray County. Totzke Funeral Home, Fulda, Minn., is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at totzkefuneralhome.com.

Russel Elliot Lundy, son of Neva Leora (Watts) and Elliot D. Lundy, was born Sept. 13, 1924, in Loup City, Neb.

Russel went to high school in Leon and graduated in 1943.

Russel worked as an electrician for Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 33 years.

Russel is survived by his wife Leona May (Binning) Lundy of Maplewood Court, Assisted Living, Fulda, Minn.; children, Neva (Don) Link of Norman, Okla., Judy (Mike) Varner of Colorado Springs, Colo., Carl (Kathy) Lundy of Lake Butler, Fla., Sharon (Don) Hudepohl of Williamsburg, Bill (Audrey) Lundy of Slayton, Minn., Doris (Ron) Martin of Prattsville, Ala., and Steve (Eileen) Lundy of Omaha, Neb.; 21 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Russel was preceded in death by his parents, infant Carl and brother Bill Lundy and sister Jean (Lundy) Moots.
