LENOX — Lenox used an eight-run fourth inning to overcome a 4-0 deficit on its way to defeating Murray 14-5 here on Wednesday.

Todd Stoaks and Spencer Brown combined for 13 strikeouts and nine walks on the mound, giving up just three earned runs combined in the win.

Dustin Gordon went 4-for-4 with two doubles and five runs batted in for the Tigers. Jared Hensley finished 3-5 with two RBI. Kaleb Anderson was 2-3 with one RBI and Stoaks hit a double.

Daulton Winship pitched 3 1/3 innings for Murray, giving up five hits and three walks, while yielding just two earned urns. Braydon Held pitched 1/3 of an inning before giving way to Trey McHenry, who gave up three earned runs in 2 2/3 innings.

Justin Jones went 2-for-3 at the plate with one RBI for Murray. McHenry, Winship and Jack Jones each drove in one run for the Mustangs.

Lenox improved to 4-1 with the win.

Atlantic 6,

Nodaway Valley 4

GREENFIELD — Nodaway Valley fell to 0-5 for the season with a tough 6-4 loss to Atlantic here on Wednesday.

Nodaway Valley led 4-3 going into the seventh inning, but three Wolverine errors led to three runs for Atlantic, creating the final 6-4 margin.

Jackson Lamb had a strong outing on the mound, going six innings and allowing just four hits while striking out five.

Lamb also went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and one RBI. Trevor Jameson finished 2-2 with an RBI.

Baley Shantz went 2-4 and Zack Eblen was 1-3 with a double.
