FAYETTE — Upper Iowa University names its 2013-14 dean’s list. To be honored, the undergraduate must have earned a minimum 3.50 GPA for the semester and be enrolled as a full-time student. Mara Ford, a nursing major from Greenfield, was named to the list.

SIOUX CITY — Several area residents were among the 87 graduate students to receive a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Morningside College in Sioux City at the end of the spring semester.

Buena Vista University

STORM LAKE — Jennifer Welch of Afton was recently honored at Buena Vista University’s (BVU) student recognition event. She is a recent graduate of BVU who majored in biochemistry and chemistry.

Welch was one of nine students to receive the Clifford A. Rae Academic Achievement Award. This endowment supports annual awards for pre-qualified, high-performing BVU science majors each academic year.

MARSHALL, Mo. — Missouri Valley College conferred 241 degrees to students at its 125th commencement ceremony held May 10 at Gregg-Mitchell Field in Marshall, Mo.
