Union County Soil and Water Conservation District awards poster contest winners

Union County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) Commissioners sponsored their annual poster contest with this year. This theme was “Dig Deeper: Mysteries of the Soil.”

The posters are first judged at the local level and first place winners are forwarded on for regional competition. If chosen as regional winners, the posters are then forwarded on for state competition.

The local winners for the sixth-grade division are: first place, Danika Schultes; second place, Hannah Walsh; and third place, Mackenzie Bodell. The winners for the seventh-grade division are: first place, Rachel Wignall; second place, Laura Weis; and third place, Tessa Powers. The winners for the eighth-grade division are: first place, Morgan Eblen; second place, Bailey Hopkins; and third place, Alyssa Cook.
