Pleasantville 7, Lenox 6

PLEASANTVILLE — A five-run third inning propelled Pleasantville to a 7-6 win over Lenox here on Monday, as the Tiger comeback attempt fell short.

“They got five of their hits and we made two errors in the third, as they erased our 4-0 lead,” Lenox head coach Tom Shields said. “Beth Christensen did well to get out of a jam in relief. We’ve got to fill some holes in our batting order.”

Teya Still took the loss for Lenox, before Christensen came in to pitch in relief in the fourth inning.

Lenox added two runs in the fifth inning, but couldn’t muster enough offense to complete the comeback.

Taylor Foster went 2-for-4 at the plate for Lenox with a double and one RBI. Shantelle Brown drove in two runs, as did Aurora Arevalo. Bailey Schmitz drove in one run. Christensen finished 2-4 at the plate.
