Jesse Burdette Shepherd, 17, 1010 N. Mulberry St., was cited for failure to yield on a left turn after an accident 9:32 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of South Vine and East Taylor streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Shepherd, driving a 2006 GMC east on East Taylor, made a left turn, failed to see a 2003 Chevrolet driven west on East Taylor by Evin Lawrence Scadden, 20, 703 E. A stop sign owned by the city of Creston was also damaged. Both Shepherd and Scadden signed a medical waiver to not be treated.

Damage estimates are $4,000 to Shepherd’s vehicle, $4,000 to Scadden’s vehicle, $500 to the electric pole and $100 to the stop sign.
