Boil advisory issued in Murray

Published: Thursday, June 12, 2014 11:35 a.m. CDT • Updated: Monday, June 16, 2014 4:37 p.m. CDT

Residents north of Fifth Street in Murray are under a boil advisory from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources after a water main break Wednesday. The break caused a loss of water pressure which can potentially allow bacteria to enter the system. Repairs were made today and the system is being flushed.

IDNR said to bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. The water may be used for bathing.
