Concordia College

MOORHEAD, Minn. — Benjamin Mullin of Creston is recipient of presidential distinction and music performance scholarships and will participate in the credo honors program at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn.

Mullin, a 2014 graduate of Creston High School, is the son of William Mullin and Julia Weisshaar-Mullin of Creston.

High school activities in which Ben has participated include honor roll, academic letter, band, winter drumline, jazz band, choir, FBLA and Hawkeye 10.

University of Wisconsin-Stout

MENOMONIE, Wis. — Rachel Lange, of Creston received the Chancellor's Award for the fall 2013 semester at University of Wisconsin-Stout. Lange is majoring in applied science.

The award is presented to students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

Creighton University

OMAHA, Neb. — Creighton University congratulates the following students from the Creston News Advertiser area who made the dean's list in the 2014 spring semester.

Bedford – Troy Rowan, a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Greenfield – Julie Bricker, a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Full-time students who earn a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale are eligible for the dean's honor roll.
