Earl Russell Millington, Tenn.

Earl Russell of Millington, Tennessee, formerly of Corning, Iowa, died on February 5, 2014. Graveside services are planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Oak Hill Cemetery just south of Corning, Iowa, the Rev. Kenneth D. Rummer, officiating, with a lunch to follow at First Presbyterian Church in Corning.

Earl was born on the farm he lived on most of his life. His parents were Dallas and Faye (Goodvin) Russell. Farming was his passion. He practiced soil conservation and crop rotation.

He served 13 years in the National Guard. He also served on the Creamery and the Co-op boards.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Leo, Roy, and Glen; and a sister: Rowena Russell Huff.

He is survived by a son, Joseph (and wife Myra) Russell; a daughter, Victoria (and husband Steve) Berg; four grandchildren: J.R. Russell, Crystal Russell, Rachel Ragan, Kristin Ragen; and four great-grandchildren: Rayne Ragan, Trey Russell, Quinn Russell, Griffin Russell; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church in Corning.
