Travis Quinn Wambold, 37, 1004 N. Elm St., was charged with domestic abuse assault 10 p.m. Monday at Union County Law Enforcement Center.

According to a Creston Police report, Wambold assaulted a female victim approximately 5 p.m. May 30 by throwing a full pop can at her, which struck her face, placing his hands around her throat and choking her, and hitting her with his fist causing a cut on her lip and red marks on her throat.

Wambold was being held on $5,000 bond.

Brittany Ann Taylor, 435 Wyoming Ave, reported a Samsung Galaxy S4 cell phone and credit card were taken from her vehicle while it was parked at an unknown location between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Loss estimate is $410.

Gail D. Peterson, 400 New York Ave., reported a Craftsman flashlight was taken from his property at 200 Russell St., Wednesday or between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday.
