Orlin Henson, 87, of Blockton died June 20, 2014, at the Liberty Terrace Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Liberty, Mo.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, at Blockton Christian Church. The Rev. Scott Marcum and the Rev. Bill Farrens will officiate. Open visitation will be after the memorial service at Blockton Community Building. Private family burial will be at a later date at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Blockton. Orlin Richard Henson, son of Flossie Fern (Duncan) and Earl Albert Henson, was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Truro.
Orlin attended school in Blockton.
On Jan. 8, 1945, Orlin married Deloris Arlene Reitter in St. Joseph, Mo.
Orlin was a farmer and bought and sold grain throughout the years until he retired at the age of 54.
Orlin is survived by his son Steven (wife Neila) Henson of Blockton; grandsons, Brett (wife Jacqueline) Henson of Olathe, Kan., and Cory Henson of Lenaxa, Kan.; and great-grandson Owen Henson of Olathe, Kan.
Orlin was preceded in death by his parents; wife Deloris in 1997; son Craig in 2009; brother Lester Henson; and sisters, Hazel LeGore and Donna Mae Stewart.
