LENOX — Lenox improved to 15-4 for the season with a 7-1 win over Southwest Valley here on Thursday.

Caleb Lange struck out nine batters and gave up just two hits with three walks in the win for the Tigers.

Lange also went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and two runs batted in. Spencer Brown was 2-3 with a double and one RBI. Dustin Gordon, Kaleb Anderson and Dusten Reed each singled in a run.

Keegan Longabaugh took the loss for the Timberwolves, giving up six earned runs on eight hits with three strikeouts.

Longabaugh scored the only run of the game for Southwest Valley, as Nick Frederick drove him in. Ryan Carlson and Drey Barton each singled.

“We really didn’t do a whole lot against their pitcher the first time through the order,” Southwest Valley head coach Pete Nett said, as his team had seven strikeouts in the first three innings. “After that, we adjusted and got some good swings, and put a lot more balls in play. Keegan did a nice job throwing strikes for us.”

Murray 13, Moulton-Udell 5

MURRAY — Murray hit three home runs here Thursday in a 13-5 win over Moulton-Udell.

Braydon Held had a big night for the Mustangs offensively, hitting two home runs and stealing three bases, while driving in four runs. Sam Rockhold hit the other home run for the Mustangs, driving in two runs.

Trey McHenry, Jack Jones and Mason Simmons each drove in one run for Murray.

Zabe Hatfield picked up the win, pitching 5 2/3 innings with just five hits and three walks to go with three strikeouts. McHenry pitched 1 1/3 innings of relief with one walk and one strikeout.
