Correction

The schedule for the Mount Ayr Softball Classic published in Wednesday’s Creston News Advertiser included the wrong dates.

The Mount Ayr Softball Classic is Wednesday, July 2 and Saturday, July 5.

The schedule is as follows:

July 2 — Clarinda vs. Wayne, 4 p.m.; Lenox vs. Murray, 5:45 p.m.; Orient-Macksburg vs. Mount Ayr, 7:30 p.m.

July 5 — Murray vs. Mount Ayr, 9 a.m.; Murray vs. Wayne, 10:45 a.m.; Orient-Macksburg vs. Wayne, 12:30 p.m.; Martensdale-St. Marys vs. Lenox, 2:15 p.m.; Martensdale-St. Marys vs. Clarinda, 4 p.m.; Lenox vs. Orient-Macksburg, 5:45 p.m.; Clarinda vs. Mount Ayr, 7:30 p.m.

NV camps

GREENFIELD — Nodaway Valley will be hosting a cross country camp June 30 through July 4.

The camp has two sessions that run from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. each day and also 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. It is open to all boys and girls entering grades 7 through 12. Cost is $15 and includes a T-shirt and a Gatorade each day.

Registration can be completed online at www.nodawayvalley.org. Walk-ins are accepted on the first day of camp.

Nodaway Valley will also be hosting a boys basketball camp July 7-11.

Registration for the boys basketball camp is encouraged by July 1. Cost of the camp is $35 and includes a camp T-shirt.

All-star game

Creston senior Sadie Jones has been selected to play in the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association Girls East/West All-Star Cup at 2 p.m. Saturday at Valley Stadium in West Des Moines.

The match will be played prior to the Des Moines Menace women’s home match at 4:30 p.m. and the men’s match at 7:30 p.m.
