DES MOINES — Crystal Gibbens of Creston has been awarded an Associate in Applied Science degree in business administration and leadership from AIB College of Business.

Commencement exercises were held June 8 at Community Choice Credit Union Veterans Memorial Convention Center.

CEDAR FALLS — The following students from the Creston News Advertiser area are among the students named to the spring 2014 semester dean’s list at the University of Northern Iowa.

To be included on the list, a student must have earned a grade point of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, while taking at least 12 hours of graded work during the semester.

Simpson College

INDIANOLA — Hannah Kendrick of Creston graduated cum laude on May 3 from Simpson College in Indianola with a Bachelor of Arts degree in environmental science.  She is the daughter of Clark and Susan Finehout and granddaughter of Shirley Davenport.
