GREENFIELD — Clint Hight and Jeff Vandewater will appear on the Adair County ballot in November’s general election. Both were nominated unanimously Monday night by a special Republican nominating convention.
“I would like to thank the delegates for giving me the opportunity to once again serve as the Adair County attorney,” said Hight, who previously served as Adair County attorney from 1995 to 2006.
Vandewater, who is running to replace retired Sheriff Brad Newton, added, “I’m very honored that the county delegates would reconvene on a special night, taking time out of their busy schedule to nominate me to represent the Republican Party in the 2014 general election for Adair County sheriff.”
The general election will be Nov. 4. Early voting begins at the courthouse in September, and absentee ballot request forms are always available the Adair County auditor’s office.
Vandewater and Hight join Brian Rohrig, Ralph Lents, Adair County Recorder Janelle Schneider and Adair County Treasurer Brenda Wallace as local candidates on the Republican ticket.
